I have been loving the cake mixes lately- must be the cooler fall weather. So I thought I'd share my 3 favorite things to do with a cake mix. These recipes are easy and delicious. Pie Filling Cake Blend one cake mix with 2 eggs and 1-2 cans of pie filling. Bake at 350 for 25-30 minutes, or until cake tests done. You can frost it, glaze it, or it's delicious plain! Some delicious combinations: apple pie filling with yellow or spice cake; cherry pie filling with cherry chip or chocolate cake. Pumpkin Spice Cookies Blend one spice cake mix with one 15-ounce can pumpkin. (Alternately, you could use a can of pumpkin pie filling.) You can cook them like that, or mix in chocolate chips or cinnamon chips first. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes. Trifle A favorite, and so versatile! Bake a cake mix according to box directions, using a 9 x 13 pan. Cool. Mix up two small, or one large, boxes of instant pudding. Prepare other add-ins, such as sliced fruit, candy bar pieces, etc. Now...

 I can't believe Joziah is four months old already! It sounds so cliché , but the time really has flown by. He is such a fun, happy little person, as you can see in these photos. He kept sucking in his lower lip every time I tried to take a picture. Each Lloyd baby has used this bouncer seat. It has served us well, although the vibrating feature died 2 kids ago. R ecently we took a little trip to Twin Falls to go through the college's corn maze. It was pretty adventurous for the kids, and afterward we dined at one of our favorite places- Rolbertos. It's a fairly authentic fast food-ish restaurant run by actual Hispanic people. They also provide American food for some of their kids' meals, so several our kids enjoyed chicken nuggets and fries. They all decided to suck from their straws while I shot the picture.

  W h ile Richard and Kory were out elk hunting this week, the kids and I took a little trip to Malta to visit their newest cousin, Ella. She is really a little beauty, and very sweet. She and Joziah are about 12 weeks apart. I bet they'll be good friends like their older siblings!

(That's Zane's leg you see just beside mine, and I got tons of comments as I sported Joziah in the Moby wrap.) P articipating in the CROP walk , which is an multi-church effort to raise funds to stop hunger, has become a family tradition of ours. Hanna participated with her Primary class in 2008. then the kids and I walked in 2009 and 2010. We enjoy the walk, we donate money we've saved in our coin jar, and the kids really like the free (from donated food) hot dog and chip lunch they serve afterward. I'm hoping to teach the kids that it's good to spend time with people of other faith...

Z ane turned the big 9 today! He was lucky (?) enough to give a talk in Primary on his birthday. Otherwise he had a great day, with Cookie Crisp for breakfast and pepperoni pizza for dinner, followed by devil's food cake, goo-goo cluster ice cream and PRESENTS!

I t's been a busy month as we are getting into the routine of a new school year and working on our home improvements. We are re-roofing the whole house while we roof the addition, and the shingles are up there waiting for us. So exciting! H ere are two honestly candid shots from times when Hanna and Zane were watching Joziah for me. We start 'em young here! As you can see, Joziah is a pretty happy guy. As long as you feed him when he's hungry and swaddle him when he's tired, he thinks life is pretty sweet. Y ou can see we had a very exciting visit from Mom and Dad Jensen last weekend. . . O h, I hope they forgive me for posting that, but it just cracks me up. Love you, Mom and Dad! And honestly, who doesn't like a nap on a Sunday afternoon? A ctually, the visit was great and they came for an important event: Kory was called as a High Councilor in our Stake, so my Dad came to ordain him a High Priest. Kory is pretty humbled, and feels too young to be a High Councilma...
