Phoenix, Arizona
For an early spring break this year we waned to give our kids their first opportunity to fly on an airplane. We also really wanted to get away to somewhere warm.
A trip to Phoenix fulfilled both!
We flew out from Salt Lake. Federal regulation requires constant mask wearing on airplanes and they don't play around. But we didn't let that ruin our fun. Kory and Joziah sat together and the rest of us were all together several rows ahead.
We had rented a condo through Airbnb. It was a two bedrooom two bath, with bunk beds to sleep six in the second bedroom. The location was great and we had a pool and hot tub about 20 steps away from our front door.
We used the pool a lot, and we usually had it all to ourselves.
We went to Wildlife World- a zoo and aquarium. It's an all-day commitment and we saw so many cool animals and mammals! Maybe a few too many birds- they were everywhere!
We spent some time hiking, visiting landmarks, and shopping.
We ate at the Sugar Bowl which is an iconic Scottsdale restaurant.
The weather was basically perfect- 70s and low 80s. It was such a great time and totally worth it!
I (Heather) have decided that although I'm an Idahoan, I identify as an Arizonian!
