Winter sports season has just wrapped up. What a relief! Although it was great that the kids were able to stay active doing things they enjoy, it was also pretty crazy for our family with three practices and/or games most days of the week. Conveniently, Covid didn't allow us to attend in person for the first half of the season, so we were able to watch from home (via Facebook live streaming) and skip some traveling. Zac- JV Basketball Zac started out the season with two injuries in a row, but he came back strong. He had a great time playing on a team with all of his closest friends. It was so fun to see how well they work together.  Sara- Wrestling Sara surprised us all by giving up gymnastics for wrestling! (She still has a job coaching the younger kids at gymnastics.) Next school year there will be an official Girls Wrestling state tournament, but this year Sara got to wrestle both boys and girls. She learned a lot and had a great time. Spectator limits were stricter than at bask...

Court of Honor - Zac On Sunday, February 7, 2021, Zac was awarded his Eagle scout rank, along with three of his friends from our ward. They all had earned their Eagles during 2019 but the Court of Honor was delayed due to Covid-19. It was a great event and a bittersweet end of an era. (The masks in our photos will forever mark it as a Covid event!) For his Eagle project, Zac did a sports update for Camp Pine Dell. He built a new backstop for their softball field and made new volleyball stands, among other things. The Eagle's Nest Court of Honor - Zane On June 25, 2019 Zane achieved the rank of Eagle scout. We got to have an individual Court of Honor for him in September and it was a great event with lots of family and friends. Grandpa Jensen was the guest speaker. For his Eagle project Zane built and installed several metal picnic tables for Camp Pine Dell. The Eagle's Nest
