It's getting busy

I guess it's inevitable when you're raising a whole tribe of kids, 
but we seem to be getting really busy. Snapshot of tonight:
Sara was at her weekly gymnastics class.
Zac was playing in a basketball game.
Hanna was honored at Senior night and sang the Star Spangled Banner before a basketball game.
Luckily, Zane was willing to stay home with Ez and Joz. 
But many afternoons Zane lifts weights after school then attends games.

Five of us go to mutual and Ezra to scouts every Wednesday. 
Hanna has drama rehearsals a few times a week.
Frequently one of the kids has a friend over, or goes to a friend's house.
I have work, a church calling, and am active in PTO.
Kory has work times a million, plus his calling and side jobs.
When I see it all listed like this, I see why I'm not a more frequent blogger!
I'm not excited to be so busy, but life is still pretty good.

Wow! You kids are running your Mom off her feet!! Makes me tired to think of all your activities!! That is what life is all about. Finding out what your talents are and developing them to enhance your future and life and serving others! I hope to see you soon when you have a slower moment:)
We love you all so much! and are very proud of you! Remember to keep your Heavenly Father in your busy lives!! And always make good choices!!

Christmas Concert

Z ac and Sara participated in their school's Christmas concert last week. Zac is in the 4th grade and wasn't very excited to be in the chorus of the play (he wanted to be in the audience) but he was a good sport. He wore the santa hat, sang, and even played the kazoo when the time came! S ara was beyond excited for the program! She participated with the 3rd grade in a song and light stick show and did well, but her favorite part was singing with the honor choir SunShine Singers. They meet once a week after school, and Sara loves every minute of it! W arning: I took this video with my old digital camera, while holding Joziah on my lap (who occasionally fought me for the camera), and the quality is terrible. Sweet and Sour Chicken

Another sister-in-law challenge here, to post a favorite family recipe. I don't make this one all the time, but it is a true favorite of everyone here and my mom got rave reviews this Christmas when she took it to a dinner at the Boise ID Temple, where my dad works. We make it for special occasions. Sweet & Sour Chicken The following sauce will cover enough chicken to fill a 9 x 13" baking dish. You may choose whichever chicken type your family enjoys. Growing up, we used bone-in chicken pieces, but these days I like to take boneless skinless chicken breasts and cut them into strips. Sprinkle pieces of chicken with salt and pepper. Roll pieces in corn startch and then into beaten egg. Fry till golden brown, using high heat. (my Mom fries in oil, I just spray the fry pan) Put pieces of chicken into baking dish. Sauce: 3/4 cup sugar, half brown and half white 1/4 cup water or chicken stock 1/2 cup vinegar 1 Tablespoon soy sauce 1/4 cup ketchup dash of salt Heat until sugar i...
