Dirt Bike

Image
We picked up an old dirt bike last summer from a neighbor.  A Kawasaki KE 100 He hadn't used in in years (and it hardly had any miles on it) but it wasn't running.  We finally took it to "Jay's Garage" (aka Grandpa Jensen) and he got it running in only a couple weeks!  (Kory's always had a motorcycle,  but not the right size to teach kids to drive.) So yesterday Zane got his first lesson,  and the other kids all got rides and beginning driving tips. It's going to be a great summer!

HAPPY 200TH BLOG POST TO THE LLOYD FAMILY!! I found two old drafts that never made it to being posted. Thought I may as well add them now. An old one from 2009 read: Today I was working on designing an advent calendar for our family.  I have such great memories of a neat one we had as kids.  While I was thus engaged, Ezra snuck into the pantry  and poured  all  the brown sugar into the powdered sugar bin.  I'll tell you I was  not  a happy mama. Ezra is  so  cute and fun but  such  a handful!  Ha! Those totally frustrating days are sweet memories to me now. Here is one from early 2015: There is no indication that early readers are better readers.  Still, it's impressive when a 4-year old can read well,  and that's Joziah right now.  I guess he learned right alongside his best friend, Ezra.  (In fact, his reading skills are at the level Ezra's were just 6 months ago,...

End of Year Roundup

We got into puzzles in December, and built a couple of neat ones! Sara and friend Jessie at a stake women's conference. Kory, speaking as a High Counselor. Joziah at the dentist- he insists on the sunglasses. Hanna and Ali playing with their old dolls, Alice and Love. Kory and Heather at Thanksgiving. This is probably the only selfie we took all year! New cat, named either Ash or Zeus, depending on who you ask. Mostly we just call it "The Cat." We got him and his brother, who only lasted 10 days in our care. We have had TONS of snow this winter! Ezra is almost as tall as Sara! They're 32 months apart :) Joziah has a ways to go to catch Zane, who is second tallest in the family. Hanna in the front row at her holiday concert. She sung in the choir and played in the Jazz and Concert bands. We walled off the end of our living room to make an office. "After" picture coming soon!
