Fall Fun
I am not a big fan of fall. To me it only means winter is coming.
And then there's Halloween, my least favorite holiday. I know, I'm no fun.
Yet we've had a really nice autumn this year with lots of beautiful weather, so I can't complain.
We enjoyed a visit from the Halls during October, during which Sara and Lily had their Beanie Boo's get married. They created total wedding outfits for the animals. It was totally precious!
I feel like I finally grew up this fall; I canned by myself for the first time, and I succeeded!
I did applesauce and apples for baking. Ez and Joz love to eat all the peels as they come off the apples. (Which is kind of gross to me, but I guess fairly healthy...)
Carving pumpkins was fun this year. Kory cut the tops off, the kids scooped out the guts and designed their faces, then I did the carving. Zane put himself in charge of harvesting the pumpkin seeds, which he later roasted (and they are delicious!)
Joziah was Spidey for the second year in a row.
Rarely does a day go by that he does not dress up in this costume, so it was obvious for Halloween.

Ezra was an army guy. Technically, G.I.Joe, but he felt too cheesy saying that ;)
Sara went as Hanna Montana, with an outrageously fabulous wig!
(You thought that was her natural hair, didn't you?)
Zac, on his last year of trick-or-treating, created a Spartan Warrior costume.
Tons of work went into this outfit, both by Zac and me. I think it turned out awesome!
The teenagers sported mustaches. Here is one of the many selfies they took.
It is wonderful having teens; these are two very fun kids!
(And also, it was great not having to create 6 costumes!)
