Zac has turned 10 years old!!
He woke up on his birthday morning in our motorhome- we were on a family campout. Zac had requested donuts, so I had some available and they tasted really good for being a couple of days old.

 We drove home that morning and I quickly baked his birthday cake- a pinata cake! No, we didn't hit it with a bat! It's just filled with candy, like a pinata. The kids LOVED it.

Zac got some cash, a computer game, pool toys, a pretty rock, and his first toolbox with tools. He said it was okay if we went to our stake's Pioneer Celebration that evening, and he and the 3 other "big" kids in the family watched a movie after.
While we're talking about Zac, he's been taking swimming lessons. He's had a good time and really improved his skills.

I don't know what I'd do without Zachary in the family. He's considerate, willing, complimentary, smart and funny. I am going to really miss him when he starts public school this fall. Zac- we love you. Happy birthday!

Happy birthday Zac!! I'm glad you had a great day! We were in Twin on Friday and were going to come visit. We have all been thinking about you and your fun party week.

Walker Jesse Lloyd was born on April 23 at 10:41 in the morning. He weighed 8lbs 5oz and was 19.7 inches long. We all completely adore him!!

Christmas Concert

Z ac and Sara participated in their school's Christmas concert last week. Zac is in the 4th grade and wasn't very excited to be in the chorus of the play (he wanted to be in the audience) but he was a good sport. He wore the santa hat, sang, and even played the kazoo when the time came! S ara was beyond excited for the program! She participated with the 3rd grade in a song and light stick show and did well, but her favorite part was singing with the honor choir SunShine Singers. They meet once a week after school, and Sara loves every minute of it! W arning: I took this video with my old digital camera, while holding Joziah on my lap (who occasionally fought me for the camera), and the quality is terrible. Sweet and Sour Chicken

Another sister-in-law challenge here, to post a favorite family recipe. I don't make this one all the time, but it is a true favorite of everyone here and my mom got rave reviews this Christmas when she took it to a dinner at the Boise ID Temple, where my dad works. We make it for special occasions. Sweet & Sour Chicken The following sauce will cover enough chicken to fill a 9 x 13" baking dish. You may choose whichever chicken type your family enjoys. Growing up, we used bone-in chicken pieces, but these days I like to take boneless skinless chicken breasts and cut them into strips. Sprinkle pieces of chicken with salt and pepper. Roll pieces in corn startch and then into beaten egg. Fry till golden brown, using high heat. (my Mom fries in oil, I just spray the fry pan) Put pieces of chicken into baking dish.
