Little gamer

The other day I couldn't find Joziah. I checked the upstairs bathroom (a favorite hangout) and he wasn't there, so headed downstairs. Here is what I found: I guess Ezra left the Wii turned on and Joziah started his own Lego Star Wars game. I thought it was pretty cute. Boy, this picture really shows all the fingerprints on the TV!

Loving Spring!

S pring is here and we are enjoying every minute of it!  I don't know if this is universal for kids, but ours have always loved to dig holes. (Surely we could harness this passion and energy to make money??) Luckily our backyard has a garden area that provides plenty of dirt!   So daring!    A ctually, the fenced backyard is one of my favorite parts of this house. We have a decent amount of grass, but not so much that it'll take hours to mow this summer. Joziah loves, loves, loves being outside, and will actually go there without me!  Saber-tooth tiger! Zane's always been a good climber. This is how we punish naughty boys!  When the other kids are outside this is where you are likely to find Hanna:

Ezra's Birthday

E zra turned 4 on the 16th and I believe he had a great day. For his birthday breakfast he chose yogurt, and for dinner we dined on corn dogs and potato salad. He had been waiting weeks to watch a special movie, Return of the Jedi , so he was super excited for that! It was all about Star Wars this year, so I made him a light saber cake. I just made a homemade angel food cooked in a jelly roll pan, then filled it with a banana cream pudding/cool whip mixture. The handle was made from a rice krispie treat recipe. He used about twenty tiny blows to blow out his candles. G randpa and Grandma Jensen and the Lawrence family came over to share cake and ice cream and watch Ezra open his presents. The first one he got was a sucker from his cousin Ethan and he sucked on it while he opened the rest. He got a couple of cool belts, several Star Wars action figures, bubbles, a puzzle, a box of fruit (he is obsessed with fruit) and a big boy bike. He loved all of his presents and especially enjoy...

Slacker!

S o I was giving my sister-in-law Emmy a hard time about not posting on her blog lately, saying she must be pregnant. Turns out she is- congratulations! Then I logged on to my blog and saw that it's been almost two months since I posted last! And no, I'm not pregnant, folks! Just. . . lazy? Busy? Forgetful? Who knows? A fter Christmas passed we finally got some snow around here. The kids have enjoyed playing outside a couple of times. This is deceptive, because it looks like he played. Actually, he demanded to be held the WHOLE time, other than when I took the picture! H ere is probably the real reason I don't blog more: J oziah, the little sweetheart, is a major mamma's boy. There are days I feel like I never put him down. Here, I had been taking a shower and for some reason I wanted my privacy, so I shut the door! He lay down outside the bathroom to wait for me.  I have to admit, though, that there are times Joziah goes off to play with his si...
