It Begins

I was just yesterday telling someone how I am perfectly happy that Joziah is not crawling yet, since we'd have to keep so much cleaner when he does.

Should have knocked on wood.

We are very excited to announce that Joziah started crawling today! Here is a long video we took; don't give up, he really does crawl near the end! And, yes, he has already gotten into Ezra's Legos more than once, but he is so much more content now that he can get where he wants.

How cute! I love the video. His little "Oh" face just before he reaches Hanna's MP3 player is great! And then Hanna not wanting to let him play with it. Haha, great video, it made me want to come and visit you guys. I can't believe Joziah is crawling! I'm not even ready for Ella to roll over yet! Great, now she probably will tomorrow!

Wow, what a big boy! I love how excited they get when they learn something new! Now he can keep up with Ezra! I can't believe how big your kids are getting, and I hate that we miss out on so much. :( Thank goodness for blogs! :)

I finally got to play Joziah crawling! With my new laptop I am now in sync!. I play it over and over again. I love the expressions!

Christmas Concert

Z ac and Sara participated in their school's Christmas concert last week. Zac is in the 4th grade and wasn't very excited to be in the chorus of the play (he wanted to be in the audience) but he was a good sport. He wore the santa hat, sang, and even played the kazoo when the time came! S ara was beyond excited for the program! She participated with the 3rd grade in a song and light stick show and did well, but her favorite part was singing with the honor choir SunShine Singers. They meet once a week after school, and Sara loves every minute of it! W arning: I took this video with my old digital camera, while holding Joziah on my lap (who occasionally fought me for the camera), and the quality is terrible. Sweet and Sour Chicken

Another sister-in-law challenge here, to post a favorite family recipe. I don't make this one all the time, but it is a true favorite of everyone here and my mom got rave reviews this Christmas when she took it to a dinner at the Boise ID Temple, where my dad works. We make it for special occasions. Sweet & Sour Chicken The following sauce will cover enough chicken to fill a 9 x 13" baking dish. You may choose whichever chicken type your family enjoys. Growing up, we used bone-in chicken pieces, but these days I like to take boneless skinless chicken breasts and cut them into strips. Sprinkle pieces of chicken with salt and pepper. Roll pieces in corn startch and then into beaten egg. Fry till golden brown, using high heat. (my Mom fries in oil, I just spray the fry pan) Put pieces of chicken into baking dish. Sauce: 3/4 cup sugar, half brown and half white 1/4 cup water or chicken stock 1/2 cup vinegar 1 Tablespoon soy sauce 1/4 cup ketchup dash of salt Heat until sugar i...
