Joziah has two teeth now. He got the first a couple of weeks ago, then the second broke through this week on his 7-month birthday. They actually came in with very little drama, so that was nice. After seeing my niece's little teeth on a blog, I thought I'd try to get a picture of Joziah's. It wasn't easy, but I got it done! I hope you can see them...

This is great that Jo-Z didn't really mind having his teeth come in. You and Emmy are setting the bar by which all new teeth need to be photographed. I guess I had better practice my skills in anticipation of Ella's first teeth!

What a little cutie! I haven't thanked you guys for our Christmas gifts, so thank you, thank you for the games! Connell was soo excited about the Toy Story 3 game. He runs around saying, "Toy Story 3" all the time and he loves to get it out and play with me. We're still waiting to play our game with friends, but we think we've got it figured out. Thanks!!

Christmas Concert

Z ac and Sara participated in their school's Christmas concert last week. Zac is in the 4th grade and wasn't very excited to be in the chorus of the play (he wanted to be in the audience) but he was a good sport. He wore the santa hat, sang, and even played the kazoo when the time came! S ara was beyond excited for the program! She participated with the 3rd grade in a song and light stick show and did well, but her favorite part was singing with the honor choir SunShine Singers. They meet once a week after school, and Sara loves every minute of it! W arning: I took this video with my old digital camera, while holding Joziah on my lap (who occasionally fought me for the camera), and the quality is terrible. Sweet and Sour Chicken

Another sister-in-law challenge here, to post a favorite family recipe. I don't make this one all the time, but it is a true favorite of everyone here and my mom got rave reviews this Christmas when she took it to a dinner at the Boise ID Temple, where my dad works. We make it for special occasions. Sweet & Sour Chicken The following sauce will cover enough chicken to fill a 9 x 13" baking dish. You may choose whichever chicken type your family enjoys. Growing up, we used bone-in chicken pieces, but these days I like to take boneless skinless chicken breasts and cut them into strips. Sprinkle pieces of chicken with salt and pepper. Roll pieces in corn startch and then into beaten egg. Fry till golden brown, using high heat. (my Mom fries in oil, I just spray the fry pan) Put pieces of chicken into baking dish. Sauce: 3/4 cup sugar, half brown and half white 1/4 cup water or chicken stock 1/2 cup vinegar 1 Tablespoon soy sauce 1/4 cup ketchup dash of salt Heat until sugar i...
