The project

Even though I put this picture on the sidebar, I wanted to add it larger here. We are so excited about the progress our addition is making! Kory, with the help of our good friend/neighbor, put the trusses on this Monday and Tuesday and now he is nailing on the sheathing. I'm sure our neighbors are sighing with relief that we are actually building something, not just creating the "bomb on the block."
Humorously, we live next to the Relief Society prez, and she called the Elder's Quorum prez and let him know that our trusses were here. She thought he should get a committee of guys to come over and help put them up. Could it be because they had been lying on our/her property line for a month and a half? Nah...

Sorry we didn't make it to at least the dinner. Jesse ended up running a fever on Sunday and went home from church early. So you wouldn't have wanted us there anyway! The garage is looking good, you need to post a picture of your new swingset sometime. Joziah looks so grownup in his blessing outfit!

Another sister-in-law challenge here, to post a favorite family recipe. I don't make this one all the time, but it is a true favorite of everyone here and my mom got rave reviews this Christmas when she took it to a dinner at the Boise ID Temple, where my dad works. We make it for special occasions. Sweet & Sour Chicken The following sauce will cover enough chicken to fill a 9 x 13" baking dish. You may choose whichever chicken type your family enjoys. Growing up, we used bone-in chicken pieces, but these days I like to take boneless skinless chicken breasts and cut them into strips. Sprinkle pieces of chicken with salt and pepper. Spring Concert

Hanna is really into music these days.  In the Filer High School Spring Concert, she... ...sang in the choir... ...played drums in the jazz band... ...played piano in the jazz band... ...and accompanied the choir. Hanna has a beautiful talent, and we always love when she shares it!

What's Been Happening

Zac as an usher at Stake Conference. Hanna accompanied a quartet at our stake Christmas program. She and I also sang in the choir. Zane, Zac and I helped sod 6 houses. It was cold, muddy, and SO fun! Zane drove us home- he's a pretty good driver! Ezra had pack meeting at the Glanbia Cheese Research Lab Joz and Braxton Dille after Literacy Night. Hanna was in the play Fairy Tale High.  She played the part of Goldilocks... ... and a girl in detention. She did awesome! Fun visit from the Halls, where the kids showed off cool moves... You can see Zane in the background being Faith's loyal servant.
