Falling off the wagon.

So Ezra has started to completely resist nap time. If i put him in his crib he will pretty much scream for as long as I let him. I figured that since he'll be 2 next week, he is probably old enough to skip his nap. Today was the first day of the no-nap policy, and here's what I found in the living room around 2:30:
Oh well, at least he didn't cry!

It is so frustrating when they think they are too big for naps! I think it is harder for Mom to give up nap time than the kid. Zeb thinks he should only be down to one nap a day, but I don't think so.

Christmas Concert

Z ac and Sara participated in their school's Christmas concert last week. Zac is in the 4th grade and wasn't very excited to be in the chorus of the play (he wanted to be in the audience) but he was a good sport. He wore the santa hat, sang, and even played the kazoo when the time came! S ara was beyond excited for the program! She participated with the 3rd grade in a song and light stick show and did well, but her favorite part was singing with the honor choir SunShine Singers. They meet once a week after school, and Sara loves every minute of it! W arning: I took this video with my old digital camera, while holding Joziah on my lap (who occasionally fought me for the camera), and the quality is terrible. Maybe just close your eyes. . . because the sound is pretty good. Sara is third from the left on the front row. She really sings out! B oth kids did well and I was proud of them. Sweet and Sour Chicken

Another sister-in-law challenge here, to post a favorite family recipe. I don't make this one all the time, but it is a true favorite of everyone here and my mom got rave reviews this Christmas when she took it to a dinner at the Boise ID Temple, where my dad works. We make it for special occasions. Sweet & Sour Chicken The following sauce will cover enough chicken to fill a 9 x 13" baking dish. You may choose whichever chicken type your family enjoys. Growing up, we used bone-in chicken pieces, but these days I like to take boneless skinless chicken breasts and cut them into strips. Sprinkle pieces of chicken with salt and pepper. Roll pieces in corn startch and then into beaten egg. Fry till golden brown, using high heat. (my Mom fries in oil, I just spray the fry pan) Put pieces of chicken into baking dish.
