Big Fish!
So we haven't truly taken our kids fishing before this summer, but I suppose the motorhome must have inspired us to more adventure because we bought a couple of poles and Kory got his fishing license. At home, Kory hooked a lightweight ball to the end of the pole (instead of a hook) for the kids to practice casting in the back yard.
We went out to the Snake River, just below the Mindoka Dam, and Zane surprised us all (but mostly himself) by catching a 2 pound, 15 inch large mouth bass. Kory kept saying, "Do you want me to help?" and did help a little bit, as that bass was pretty strong. When we got it out of the water all Sara could say over and over was, "Don't touch me with that thing!"
This fish was caught with the pink fishing pole, which proved to the boys that pink is every bit as cool as blue.
Good job Zane!
