Big day for a little guy!

Our littlest guy, Ezra, delighted us this afternoon when he actually crawled for the first time! I figured this was a good excuse to finally start a blog. Ezra has been pushing himself around backwards for about a month, so we knew the big event was coming, but at just seven months he's our earliest crawler by far! Right now he's using his new skill to search out tasty edibles on the floor like tiny paper scraps. I can see the future right now and it involves me using the vacuum a whole lot more!

What a cutie pants! you have your hands full! Hooray for a blog! It will be so fun to get updates...Nia really liked the video, shes made me watch it over and over! (i didn't mind) I like the cute encouraging voices in the background...how fun. Oh, Nia learned how to crawl a couple weeks ago also:)

Yay, Heather! I'm sooo excited you started a blog! I love blogs! Ezra is sooo cute! He looks so proud of himself. We also had to watch the video over and over again with Connell. :) (Life was so easy when all he did was crawl!) Oh, hey, and I didn't know you guys like Muse! I just discovered them a few months ago and love them! I look forward to future posts...

Christmas Concert

Z ac and Sara participated in their school's Christmas concert last week. Zac is in the 4th grade and wasn't very excited to be in the chorus of the play (he wanted to be in the audience) but he was a good sport. He wore the santa hat, sang, and even played the kazoo when the time came! S ara was beyond excited for the program! She participated with the 3rd grade in a song and light stick show and did well, but her favorite part was singing with the honor choir SunShine Singers. They meet once a week after school, and Sara loves every minute of it! W arning: I took this video with my old digital camera, while holding Joziah on my lap (who occasionally fought me for the camera), and the quality is terrible. Sweet and Sour Chicken

Another sister-in-law challenge here, to post a favorite family recipe. I don't make this one all the time, but it is a true favorite of everyone here and my mom got rave reviews this Christmas when she took it to a dinner at the Boise ID Temple, where my dad works. We make it for special occasions. Sweet & Sour Chicken The following sauce will cover enough chicken to fill a 9 x 13" baking dish. You may choose whichever chicken type your family enjoys. Growing up, we used bone-in chicken pieces, but these days I like to take boneless skinless chicken breasts and cut them into strips. Sprinkle pieces of chicken with salt and pepper. Roll pieces in corn startch and then into beaten egg. Fry till golden brown, using high heat. (my Mom fries in oil, I just spray the fry pan) Put pieces of chicken into baking dish. Sauce: 3/4 cup sugar, half brown and half white 1/4 cup water or chicken stock 1/2 cup vinegar 1 Tablespoon soy sauce 1/4 cup ketchup dash of salt Heat until sugar i...
