I guess it's inevitable when you're raising a whole tribe of kids,  but we seem to be getting really busy. Snapshot of tonight: Sara was at her weekly gymnastics class. Zac was playing in a basketball game. Hanna was honored at Senior night and sang the Star Spangled Banner before a basketball game. Luckily, Zane was willing to stay home with Ez and Joz.  But many afternoons Zane lifts weights after school then attends games.  (Off topic, but sweet pic of Zane and Ella.) Five of us go to mutual and Ezra to scouts every Wednesday.  Hanna has drama rehearsals a few times a week. Frequently one of the kids has a friend over, or goes to a friend's house. I have work, a church calling, and am active in PTO. Kory has work times a million, plus his calling and side jobs. When I see it all listed like this, I see why I'm not a more frequent blogger! I'm not excited to be so busy, but life is still pretty good.

I didn't take very many pics on Turkey Day,  but the kids got a couple with my phone. To start off the day, Kory put a window in our house.   Sara went Black Friday shopping with me at 4:30 the next morning.  I took this progression of shots of her sleeping on the way home! She did not regret going, but she was definitely exhausted. (Yes, our shopping included a long piece of window trim.) We came home and put up our Christmas tree and all the decorations!

Zac as an usher at Stake Conference. Hanna accompanied a quartet at our stake Christmas program. She and I also sang in the choir. Zane, Zac and I helped sod 6 houses. It was cold, muddy, and SO fun! Zane drove us home- he's a pretty good driver! Ezra had pack meeting at the Glanbia Cheese Research Lab Joz and Braxton Dille after Literacy Night. Hanna was in the play Fairy Tale High.  She played the part of Goldilocks... ... and a girl in detention. She did awesome! Fun visit from the Halls, where the kids showed off cool moves... You can see Zane in the background being Faith's loyal servant.

This year all the kids dressed up in some way.  I love how they all use their imaginations and create their own costumes!  Zac= crazy hair; Joziah = assassin; Hanna = Pig in a Blanket Zane = cowboy; Ezra = soccer player; Sara = Dunkin' Donuts     The weekend before Halloween we attended a carnival at CSI.  Dunkin' Donuts, Assassin and a Hobo! Kory and his CSI Mech Tech club built a canon for the carnival. It could shoot tennis balls or candy,  and had a controller each child could use to aim and fire the canon. It was pretty awesome!

On September 19th, Zane turned 16!  To our surprise, that same day he got asked on his first date!  It was to Sadie's with a senior girl in our ward.  Here he is on the first day of school, about two weeks before his birthday. (He's not a fan of getting his picture taken.) Zane is really into weight lifting these days. He enjoys reading Louis L'Amour, has a love for music of every style (except Christian), and loves eating.  He tries to keep to a healthier diet, and is currently off most sweets! Love ya, Zane!

Sara is 12!   And now we have two Young Women! Breakfast: Donuts Dinner: White Chicken Enchiladas Treat: Brownie Ice Cream Cake  Words to describe Sara: gymnastics, slime, nail polish, scriptures.

I am so behind! Well, exactly a month, which isn't the worst. Anyway... Zac turned 14!  We have two Teachers Quorum members for the next 2 months. Breakfast: Peach Bars Dinner: Philly Cheesesteak Treat: Angel Food Strawberry Shortcake He's almost caught up to Hanna! Zac in a few words: BASKETBALL, friends, lucid dreaming, cockle burrs.
