Ezra's 8th Birthday and Baptism
It seems trite to say that I can hardly believe Ezra is 8, and yet it's totally true. He requested "floats" for his special treat. Right after his birthday, Ezra got to attend his first cub scout meeting, which happened to be a Pinewood Derby. He made the car with very minimal help from us, and did great: 3rd in our ward, and 4th out of all the Wolfs in our 3-ward derby! You can see a faint green blur in the bottom right of this photo. That was Ezra's car taking fist place! The best part of an eighth birthday, of course, is the chance to be baptized! It was a very special day, as Ezra was baptized and confirmed by Kory, and many family members were able to come celebrate with us. In his confirmation blessing, Kory told Ezra that he is a leader and a force for good. That is definitely true; Ezra is dymanic, and he's going to do great things in this life. We love you, Ezra!
