Hanna's Birthday and Young Womanhood Recognition!

Image
S omehow I neglected to blog about Hanna's birthday. Sorry, Hanna! It was an important one, too, because she turned 14; she's eligible for Stake Dances now! What a beautiful young woman she's turning into! Hanna found a recipe online for Peanut Butter Fudge cake, which I baked for her. Yum! One of her gifts- a little black dress jewelry holder.   H anna has been working hard for the past two years with the goal of earning her Young Womanhood Recognition (Medallion) while she was still a Beehive. She made it with a couple weeks to spare, and since our ward is only 7 months old she is the first person ever to earn the award in the Deep Creek Ward! Her final projects involved cooking dinners (and sometimes breakfast) for the family while I had a broken arm. I honestly couldn't have managed without her, so it was a great blessing to our whole family! As a dual birthday and congratulatory gift, we gave her a Kindle Fire, which she loves. (Don't worry, Lloyd ...

Congratulations to Zac!

T his week Zac was awarded his Arrow of Light. He definitely worked hard to earn it. He even completed several requirements at home right after we moved and hadn't gotten started with the new pack yet. Zac is super excited to start into Boy Scouts this July. He's going to race Zane to Eagle! T his has nothing to do with Zachary, but I just had to post this lovely photo: T hat's right, Kory installed a garbage disposal in our kitchen sink! Bless his pea-pickin heart (as my mom used to say). I am in love (with Kory and my new disposal)!

Easter!

I 've tried to upload new blog posts twice from my Blogger app and it just didn't work so I finally had to delete it. Weird. Anyway... W e had a great Easter! I love when Easter falls so late in the year because the weather is usually nicer for egg hunts. This year was beautiful! We did some Easter egg dying. . .  . . . and some egg hunting. We went to the Clover Lutheran Easter egg hunt, since it's half a mile away from home. Then we went to our ward's brunch and hunt. . . . . . and some playing around. Ez and Joz were being Easter bunnies. Not sure what Zane was being?? G ood times!
