Our House

Image
I have finally remembered to post a picture of our house's new paint job! We think it looks pretty good, although they're not our very favorite colors. A ll this week we have had all our living room/office/dining room/kitchen furniture under sheets (or stacked in the garage) while workers came in to mud and tape our sheetrock. Soon they'll do the texture, and I can tell you that we are about sick of living like this. It's all to further the sale of our house so that we can get moved to Twin Falls, so we are trying not to complain! I should have taken a picture of it, but tonight I finished painting our shed to match the house. I'll tell ya- the "toothpaste" shed has never looked so good (although, strangely, still somewhat a minty green.)

A very important day!

Z achary was baptized by Kory on August 6th. It was a really nice occasion; I was overwhelmed by the show of love by all who sacrificed to come support Zac. His two grandpas gave a couple of the BEST baptism talks I've ever heard, and his grandmas worked the music beautifully. The Lawrence family performed a great musical number and Aunt Lindsey offered the closing prayer. Thank you to all who helped out. We are so proud of you Zac! Here, 13-year old Bryan is looking very grown up to me!

Two more birthdays!

T hings have been so crazy lately around here that I haven't even thought of the blog. Oops! K ory's birthday was the 21st, and he enjoyed a Pistacio Icebox Dessert. The next day Sara turned 6! She had both a family party and a friend party. I made the Princess Castle cake for the family party and, although I could see tons of flaws, she said "It's perfect!!" Pleasing the birthday girl is what counts, right? S ara invited her 4 closest friends (all Primary classmates) to her party. They watched a Barbie movie, opened gifts, ate cupcakes, and played outside. They had a great time! Little girls are so cute.
