The moment he's been waiting for...

Image
J oziah finally got to try "solid" food last night. He'll be 6 months on Monday, and he has been really watching us eat and trying to grab the food. Look how happy and eager he is! W e fed him baby oatmeal cereal and he was delighted! We expected him to make a yucky face, or spit some out, but he just gobbled it up as fast as we gave it to him. It was a bittersweet moment for me; he's just one step closer to growing up. Mmm-mmmm!

Tradition... TRADITION!

Image
W hen I was young it became a tradition to gather at my Grandma's house and make "candy houses" at Christmas time. Candy houses are like gingerbread houses, only using graham crackers. The tradition has continued in my children's lives and is something they always look forward to. This year scheduling didn't work out to do it with family, but we had a fantastic time anyway building houses with our neighbors the Collier family. Thanks for helping us carry on the tradition! Ezra and Sara were first to finish. Notice that they've pretty much eaten all their candy already. They're 2, which explains it all! James, Stevena, and Michael . Best friends Rebecca and Sara. Zachary and Zane being goofy. Zane's house is on the table to the right. The "big girls" and their beautiful creations- Kimberly and Hanna.
