Birthdays

Image
J uly was a big month- we celebrated birthdays for Kory, Heather, Zac and Sara. Here is Zac's crocodile cake and Sara's bear cake (which I think turned out hideous, but she liked it.)

Lloyd Campout

Image
W e did some fun, clean camping with the Lloyd family on July 24 at Lake Walcott. It was great to get together with all who could come! T he kids enjoyed running through the automatic sprinklers. B abies Mae and Joziah- only 5 weeks apart!

Mystical India

Image
S o we watched a program about India on BYU-TV and it started a sensation in the family. For a couple of weeks the kids all went around trying to be Yogis. Here is some of the action.

The project

Image
E ven though I put this picture on the sidebar, I wanted to add it larger here. We are so excited about the progress our addition is making! Kory, with the help of our good friend/neighbor, put the trusses on this Monday and Tuesday and now he is nailing on the sheathing. I'm sure our neighbors are sighing with relief that we are actually building something, not just creating the "bomb on the block." H umorously, we live next to the Relief Society prez, and she called the Elder's Quorum prez and let him know that our trusses were here. She thought he should get a committee of guys to come over and help put them up. Could it be because they had been lying on our/her property line for a month and a half? Nah...

Blessing Day

Image
J oziah had his baby blessing this past Sunday. Isn't he handsome? (It's funny- this picture looks like Joziah has hair on top, when really all he has is peach fuzz.) We had a nice time with as many family members as could make it. The kids loved playing with their cousins all day! T his is our family picture from the big day: A nd I was so touched seeing Joziah's two great-grandmothers walking in to church together, than I just had to get their picture. We love you Grandmas!
